A Dahlonega shopping day goes best when you pick the day first, because hours change a lot from Monday to Saturday. Tell the planner your day, the time of day and the kinds of shops you like. It lists the shops whose published hours are open then, in walking order around the Public Square, plus anything on the calendar that day.

How the planner works
The planner uses the hours each shop publishes on its own site or page, checked Oct 19, 2026. Shops that publish no hours are listed apart so you can call ahead. The walking order follows straight lines between mapped addresses, and the browsing minutes are our rough estimates, not shop data. When you are happy with the plan, open the walking route in Google Maps or print it.
Want to see the whole week first? The shop hours table shows every shop that publishes hours, day by day.
Park first
Parking on and around the Public Square is free. The prime “Shop & Dine” spaces have a 3-hour limit that the city enforces 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday (Visitors Bureau). For a long day, the Visitors Bureau points to the Park & Stay spaces in the North Park Street lot and the Warwick Street lot. On weeknights and weekends the University of North Georgia’s deck on South Chestatee is free to the public too. The details, including the deck’s hours, are on our parking page.

These loops are built from street addresses only. For walking times and the route, use the planner above.
