Evening and Sunday stops for sweets
Going only by hours the shops publish themselves: Paul Thomas Chocolates, Kilwins and the Dahlonega General Store stay open to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and Paul Thomas and Kilwins to 8 p.m. the rest of the week. Paul Thomas, Kilwins, the General Store, the Spice & Tea Exchange and Tea Rabbit’s all publish Sunday hours. In December, the Visitors Bureau says downtown has extended merchant hours every evening; check each shop for its own times.
Chocolate lovers can also watch for the Visitors Bureau’s Chocolate Crawl: the sixth one ran March 5 to 8, 2026, with a passport from the Visitor Center. Dates for 2027 are not posted yet.
For every shop by day, see shop hours; to pair a sweet with a person, try the Gift Finder.
