Dahlonega Shopping is a Gold Peach Realty community guide. Gold Peach Realty is a Georgia real estate brokerage, and it publishes the site. The Dahlonega Shopping Editorial Team writes and checks every page.

The guide covers shopping in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, Georgia: the shops around the Public Square, where the Gold Museum sits in the 1836 courthouse, and on East and West Main, North and South Chestatee, North and South Park, Meaders, Grove and Choice. A brokerage also cares about homes, which is why we have pages on living near the Square and selling a home. Everything else is written for shoppers first.

We are not affiliated with the City of Dahlonega, the Dahlonega Downtown Development Authority, the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitors Bureau, the University of North Georgia, or any shop or event we cover. We link to them because they are our sources; they do not review or endorse our pages. We cannot hold an item, sell a gift card or change a shop’s hours.

How we check

Every hour, address, phone number and date on this site comes from a source we read and link to, with the date we checked it. A shop’s own website or page comes first. The DDA and Visitors Bureau directories come second, and when a shop is known only from a directory, we say so and tell you to call ahead. We never turn a directory’s hours into confirmed hours.

We keep a short quote from each source with the fact it supports. When sources disagree, we name the conflict: Bear Book Market’s own site gives 85 East Main Street while the Visitors Bureau lists 21 North Grove Street, and Vintage Music’s hours differ between its two websites and the DDA. Shops that have closed, moved or cannot be confirmed are listed separately on the shop directory, never recommended. Our shop count is our own: 44 shops we could confirm open as of Oct 19, 2026.

Sponsorship

Nobody pays to appear on this guide, and we have not sold any placements. If that changes, every sponsored placement will be clearly labeled as sponsored. A shop does not have to ask or pay to be included. We list shops we can confirm are operating, and we leave out rankings and prices.

Photos and the map

Every photograph we use is a real photograph, used under its license and credited on the photo credits page. The shop map is drawn from OpenStreetMap data, and its pins mark only shops we confirmed operating at their cited sources.
