Dahlonega’s art shopping is small and close together: a gallery and a pottery studio on Public Square North, a glassblowing shop with daily demonstrations on South Chestatee Street, and a gallery and paint studio a short walk away on North Meaders Street. Here is what each one’s source says it shows or makes, checked October 19, 2026, and an order to see them by address.
The galleries and studios
The Glassblowing Shop
This is the one place downtown where you can count on watching work being made. The Glassblowing Shop says, “We have daily ‘flame-work’ glassblowing demonstrations,” and sells hand-blown pieces from icicles and barometers to pendants and personalized names in glass. Its own site says fourth-generation glassblower Chris Kennedy opened the shop in 1998 on the square, just across from the Gold Museum. Its address is 10 South Chestatee Street, Unit F. The site does not publish demonstration times or shop hours; the DDA directory lists hours, so check the card and call if you want to time a visit to a demo.

Old Storehouse Art (formerly Canvas and Cork)
Old Storehouse Art is a gallery of local artists and a paint studio in the historic Stanton Storehouse at 90 North Meaders Street. Its own site places it “across from Hancock Park, easy short walking distance from The Square.” The gallery page shows work by local artists and says it can ship most artwork. You can also paint: its drop-in page says to “just drop in during our regular business hours, pick a project and get creative,” and it runs classes and private art parties.
Hours from its site: Wednesday and Thursday noon to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday noon to 8 p.m., Sunday noon to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday are not listed. The Dahlonega Arts Alliance meets there on second Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
Bleu Art Gallery
Bleu Art Gallery is at 94 Public Square North. Its DDA listing says, “We are home to a group of resident artists.” Its own web address is now a parked page, so it is directory-only: call ahead. Tiger Mountain Vineyards lists its TMV Dahlonega tasting room inside Bleu Gallery, so you may find wine being poured as you look at the art.
Brad Walker Pottery
Brad Walker Pottery is at 70 North Public Square, as the Visitors Bureau directory lists it. That listing gives an address and phone and nothing more, and there is no website, so we cannot tell you what is on the shelves or when it is open. Call ahead.
Reclaimed Rose
Reclaimed Rose, at 75 North Grove Street, is an antiques and vintage shop first, but its own site lists original art among its antique furniture, vintage decor and jewelry. It is on our antiques and vintage page too.

Art markets on the calendar
Two yearly events add more makers to the mix. Bear on the Square, a free Appalachian music festival, has a juried artist marketplace of 70+ booths around the Historic Square selling textiles, pottery, woodworking and other traditional crafts; its site gives Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18, 2027. The Visitors Bureau says the Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival is held annually on the third weekend in May. See shopping events for dates as they are published.
If you are driving north to the Appalachian Trail, Mountain Crossings at Neel Gap also sells pottery among its gear and gifts. It is on our outdoor shops page.
